The University of Ilorin, popularly called Unilorin, is full-fledged degree awarding public University in Nigeria. Founded in 1975, Unilorin is located in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, and a remedial campus in Fufu, an annex of Ilorin. The University is reputed for its high moral standard, profound academic proficiency, serene and secure environment, modern infrastructures, and undisrupted academic years. It has a high-standard computer centre, a bakery, health facilities, which not only serves the needs of the thousands of students but also represent platforms for students to explore and experiment learned theories.
Over the years, the faculties at the University of Ilorin have grown to become 15, which include Arts, Education, Engineering & Technology, Agriculture, Law, after an initial start-up in, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Communication and Information Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmaceutical Science, and Life Science; Physical Science; Environmental Science; Management Sciences; and Social Sciences. The 15 faculties offer 60 undergraduate courses, which range from three to six years.
